WHY ?

Someone sad asks why me? Software professional asks “why am I doing this?” A philosopher asks “why do we live?” but one that that is for sure is that everyone asks why in one form or the other.
Here all why’s will not be answered but we discuss the concept of “why” and its significance.
Why is “why” so widespread and that makes it another why?
Anyways let’s get started.
Most of the questions of why are centered about you. For example: why am I doing this? Why should this happen to me? Why didn’t I pass? Why can’t I do that? Why can’t I get what I want? One thing that we can probably derive from here is that why is always associated with an action. English language itself puts why into the category of adverbs, i.e. something that defines the nature of the action. That action is some purpose. Who needs the purpose? Every one of us. Isn’t it?
The I inside me is the ego and for its satisfaction for it to gain importance it needs to have a purpose. The moment you are without a purpose the ego starts to feel uncomfortable. It starts raising the question why? So human mind questions and human mind answers and keeps on fulfilling the ego. For ego it is very important that there is purpose and so it keeps you into the vicious circle of questioning “why” at every step.
Existence itself is non purposive. We define living being as somebody that has the capacity to produce more of its own kind, trying to give purpose to existence, consider the paradox of what came first into existence was it the tree or the seed? Answer is not available because existence is non purposive. It does not need a purpose to exist. It has always been there. It’s the ego which wants the purpose and creates the question why?
Why is significant only when there is a beginning and an end. And considering living things to be the part of the entirety ever since “why” has no meaning in their life. In all the living things its only humans that ask this question and he is the only one that is unhappy. There is no purpose in existence, only your ego needs a reason for existence not you.

Divineness- Past, Present and Future

Today I am reminded about a status message that I read a few days back. It goes something like this “Even God cannot change past”.
Contemplating on it, the past and future exist because some things change and that change is what we call time. Now by using the word GOD we attach finiteness to it. It become limiting. Using the term divineness it becomes “the infinite”. “Being” the ultimate existence of a drop of water is the same as the Ocean. A drop exists only on the surface. In the inside it is the ocean. So matter is nothing but the surface of existence. Hence, what science studies is the Surface. The moment we start talking about the energy we move into another level.
What science is trying to find today is the antimatter, something which does not have the properties of matter. That’s has no surface. So what is it that is it trying to find? The inside if everything which is same for me, ocean, dog table and whatever is made up of matter.
At still deeper level there is consciousness that existed, exists and will keep on existing. So what was has never changed in existence and for something that has never changed how can there be time.
Time is not defined for consciousness. It has always been there. So if we say what always existed is consciousness and that’s what we define as God then present past and future does not exist for him. If something that does not exist how can it be changed?
There the question is not about individuality but it is about the whole. The existence is on a whole, not divided into dichotomy of “I” and “Thou”.
Existence is about totality it is not about parts. So the fundamental question “who” is no more relevant. The moment you try to answer “who” you become individualistic, reducing the whole into something. “Who” accepts duality, multiplicity and plurality of things.

Cooperation in Marketing

Was thinking of the cooperation today and being in the middle of the work running marketing campaigns for one of my clients there came this weird idea about co operation in marketing .
Here I am going to speak about advertising on Google, one of the most preferred advertising channels online. Consider this hypothetical situation where there are only two companies who want to sell the same product and are both running their respective online campaigns on Google . Both have the target to generate 100 sign ups a month @ of $2 per sign up. They are both trying to outbid each other to be on the top spot of sponsored links to get as much traffic to their website as possible.
Suppose the search volumes for the two products remain same during the next two months and the two competitors now agree to cooperate and run campaigns one by one i.e. Company 1 runs the campaign in 1st month and the second company in the second month. Let’s see how the math could change here now.
Since there is only one advertisement, the attention span increases. Since there is no competition the average amount per click would decrease and also the Click through rate on your advertisement would increase, it could be double since there is only one company advertising. The increase in CTR logically should further decrease the Cost per click.
Assuming the conversion rate on the website remains same, I not only get the desired 200 sign ups as I wanted at the end of two months but also achieve it at a lesser cost. The same happens with the other company.
Ideally the math should work.
